Shimmering Sands Loose Eyeshadow

I'll start by saying I do really like the shimmer and colour of this product. It is something I use. That being said, the idea to put this loose light weight powder in a bottle with a inbuilt applicator in the lid was a terrible idea. I really don't think it was tested. It was just "this looks cute and pretty" which it does but oh boy what a mess it makes. Firstly the applicator creates a bit of suction in the bottle so no matter how gently you try to pull it out there will be a bit of a pop out which makes the powder puff out. Next using the applicator provided. You cannot tap off excess product because there's only a tiny hole in the bottle the width of the applicator ( unless you want to tap off excess into the bin) and this applicator will have a ton of excess product on it due to its design. So if you take the applicator and swipe the product on your eye you get a ton of fall out on your cheeks which stains. So I have to so so so carefully gently take the applicator out which still sends powder product flying and then use my finger to apply the product and just forget the applicator alltogether. So the packaging design while looking great is functionally terrible and by my lengthy review you'll be able to tell is very annoying. This product should come in a pot so you can tap of excess powder and avoid all the mess.

Really pigmented, lovely colour that would suit most skintones. Blends easily with other eyeshadows.

I love the pigment and soft shimmer, it is not too glittery so perfect for everyday use. I recommend to gently pull out the wand and apply some to the back of your hand. Then use your eyeshadow brush to pick up the product and PAT along the eye area. This avoids the loose powder from getting messy.

THIS IS SO PRETTY! The shimmers are very obvious yet, so soft and elegant at the same time.

It's quite sheer so I use it on top of eyeshadow for that extra pop. Love how there's an applicator too - really helps when I need a light touch up - only downside is it's a little messy but you just have to be a little extra careful!

A little bit challenging to use - however once you apply the product it is amazing!
